Coach Pat Price, Director of Basketball Operations
Coach Pat Price is a highly sought-after clinician and guest speaker, having served as a consultant to several sporting organizations, specializing in player, coach and club development programs. Price spent several seasons in Europe coaching two professional club teams (UCC Demons and Neptune Basketball Club) in the Irish Superleague, as well as the Irish National team from 2007-2009, and captured the Irish National Cup on four occasions as well as the Superleague Championship in 2005. In addition to his coaching duties, Price spent nine years as Assistant Athletic Director at University College Cork in Ireland, while also lecturing in the Sports Studies Department. Abe Badmus, Facility Operations Manager
Competitive Edge Sports is excited to introduce its new Facility Operations Manager, Abe Badmus. Abe Badmus hails from Chicago, IL. He was a former standout at Bucknell University as the starting point guard. Badmus was a key member of both of Bucknell's Patriot League Championship teams that went on to upset wins over Kansas and Arkansas in the 2005 and 2006 NCAA Tournaments, respectively. Ellen Fitzpatrick, Basketball Coach
Ellen Fitzpatrick is in her first year as a coach in the CES Basketball Academy. In 1997, she was inducted into the Philadelphia Big 5 Hall of Fame and the Saint Joseph’s University Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame. And in 2006 Fitzpatrick was also named to the West Philadelphia Catholic High School Sports Hall of Fame and the Saint Joseph’s University Athletics Hall of Fame.
A player and graduate of Saint Joseph’s University, Ellen played on four NCAA tournament teams as well as four nationally ranked teams at Saint Joseph’s, including national rankings as high as 15th and 17th in the country in both the USA Today and AP polls. Her playing career included two-time Atlantic 10 All-Conference honors including 1st Team All-Conference as a senior, 3rd Team All-Conference as a junior, and she was also selected to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team as a freshman. Walt Fuller, Basketball Coach
Competitive Edge Sports Director of Basketball Pat Price has announced veteran coach Walt Fuller as the latest addition to the CES Basketball Academy staff. Fuller joins Price and Ellen Fitzpatrick as the Academy’s lead instructors. Most recently the Men’s Assistant coach at UMBC, Coach Fuller’s career spans over twenty-five years at some of the top NCAA Division I programs. Prior to UMBC, Coach Fuller served at UAB under Mike Davis. In his first full season at UAB in 2010-11, Fuller played a big role in helping the Blazers clinch the program's first outright regular season Conference USA title in school history. Daniel Miller is 25 years old and has been a sports fanatic his entire life as is evident by his history in sports. He was a high school standout in Basketball scoring 1,608 pts and 1,012 rebounds gaining multiple D1 and D2 scholarship offers. He also earned state track and field medals in Discus finishing 6th, 4th, and 2nd. He also played football for a single season in high school gaining scholarship offers from programs such as Penn State. Ultimately he chose a Division one Track and Field scholarship to Mount St. Marys University in MD, where he became one of the top freshman discus throwers in the nation. He then decided to follow his love and desire to play collegiate basketball and transferred to Eastern University where he played D3 basketball and graduated with a bachelor in Exercise Science a minor in business management and a minor in coaching. He continued to follow his dreams of playing professional basketball and tried out for the Scranton Steamers in the PBL, where he successfully signed his first professional contract. Now he Plans to use his Exercise Science degree, business management and coaching degree to help train individuals to become healthier and live happier lives as well as begin mentoring and coaching young individuals to have success in their sport, as well as learn the in and outs of running a facility. Dan is a passionate young man who is eager to learn and develop. Dan is also a proud father of his 2 and a half year old daughter Hallie.
